 MONTHLY CORE SKILL DEVELOPMENT 

Receive 4 skill development sessions on each Sunday of the month. Session will be comprised of a general overview of all skills. Emphasis will be placed on teaching, high repetitious learning and high energy environment.

Program is designed for recreational and moderately competitive players. Participants are required to be able to skate and handle the puck at a basic level. Recommended 7-11 years old.

All sessions are Sundays at 12:30 pm.

 SPECIALTY SKILL SPECIFIC CLINICS 

 

Gain confidence picking holes and delivering tape to tape passes. We will explore the fundamental movements that allow the best players to place pucks anywhere they want. Learn wrist rotation, weight distribution, hand placement, stick blade angle and shooting mechanics for wrist, snap and backhand shots.

Program is designed for recreational and moderately competitive players. Participants are required to be able to skate and handle the puck at a basic level.

Develop edge and skate blade awareness. Focus on turns, pivots, and body control leading into forward and backward stride development. A high energy and cardiovascular component will be maintained throughout

Have the ability to change directions quickly and effeciently without losing speed and maintaining control and puck possession. Forward to backwards and backwards to forward transitions, tight turns and pivots all while focusing on leading with the eyes and head

The best players have the ability to handle and shoot the puck in tight spaces. Work on puck control and manipulation under stress and with little room. Learn to stick handle 360 degrees around your body to avoid defenders and keep the puck on your stick. Learn to shoot the puck off rebounds, bounces and close to the net.

Become the go to player on shoot outs. Learn how to drive around defenders and attack the net on angle. Learn goalie tendencies so you can out wait and and out play your opponents. Make the goalie commit and beat him wide.

Developing top speed as fast as possible is a crucial part of hockey. The game is played in small areas requiring players to start and stop constantly. Explode from a stand still using a Forward "V" and Lateral cross over start. Also learn backward starts and knees to feet starts.
